Today I am going to talk about the relationship between soaked chana or chickpeas and weight gain.

Here, I will discuss about basic terms that led to weight gain.
Weight gain simply occurs when we start consuming more calories than our maintenance calories.
i.e.CALORIES IN>CALORIES OUT=BULKING
So, for gaining weight you have to eat more calories than your maintenance calories if you want to gain weight.
Now, if we talk about consuming soaked chana or chickpeas in empty stomach than it will provide limited amount of calories.
100 gram of soaked chana or chickpeas will provide around 240 calories.
Macros for 100gram soaked chana:
Protein: 11gFats: 3.5g
Carbs: 40.6g
Fibre: 18.9g
Let's see an example:-
A person is of 150lb and his maintenance calories is something around 2500 calories.So, for weight gain he has to consume calories above than his maintenance calories i.e. 2800 calories.
